Unlock and purpose
Crimson Kimono comes from the namesake mythic tale in Teshio Ridge, following snow sculptures and red yuki mushi. Its effects reduce enemy detection, enable kunai chain assassinations, and extend kusarigama assassination reach.

Suggested setup: choose the tools you will use
Our editorial suggestion is to build around Crimson Kimono after deciding which assassination methods and tools you intend to use. If owned, Charm of Lingering Shadows adds detection delay. Use remaining slots for a current weakness, such as assassination rewards or survivability.
Check your kunai and smoke-bomb supply before leaving and reserve something for an exit. A plan that assumes several unowned charms is difficult to follow while your equipment is still developing.

A 30-second approach plan
Pause to make three decisions before crossing into danger. This is route-planning advice intended to reduce situations where the first takedown immediately exposes you.
- First target: choose someone separated from other enemies’ sightlines, not merely the closest person.
- Next hiding place: decide where you will move after the first action.
- Escape direction: identify a route toward the perimeter rather than a dead end if discovered.
Do not force the largest chain
An apparent chance to eliminate several enemies says little about enemies outside your view. Keep the option to wait for another patrol to pass instead of beginning solely because the visible targets look convenient.
If spotted, reassess the plan. Check enemy positions and either use your reserved tools to leave or choose equipment suited to melee. Losing stealth does not have to mean losing the encounter.
Adjust to the actual failure
Repeated discovery during approach suggests reviewing the route and detection support. Discovery after the first assassination suggests reviewing the next position and surrounding patrols. Running out of tools suggests reducing the actions your initial plan demands. Distinguishing these problems prevents random charm swapping.
This recommendation is for infiltration in the base campaign. Do not assume the same advantages will matter in a compulsory head-on fight; keep another setup available.
