Identify the activity first
There are five mountain reliquaries, tied to progression of the Charm of Mount Yotei. Their basic task is to match statue directions to an inscription. They are a separate activity from reflection altars and fox dens, so use the reliquary filter when searching.

Translate the clue into an action
Break a clue into who is looking, what they are looking at, and which direction that requires. Is the target the distant mountain or the central pillar? Our recommended first step is to walk around the puzzle and inspect decorations and facing directions before changing anything.
Next choose a stable viewpoint, such as looking from the entrance toward the pillar. Directions like left and right become confusing when you keep changing camera position. A published turn sequence only reproduces its result if the starting state also matches.
Learn the principle at Courage
At the Reliquary of Courage in Yotei Grasslands, all four statues must face the actual Mount Yotei. Establish where the mountain is before turning them; pointing everything toward the centre is a different instruction.
Use this as practice in converting the wording into a physical target. If you have already moved statues, compare their current orientation with the goal rather than blindly adding the turns from an untouched-state solution.

Check prerequisites when interaction fails
The Reliquary of Compassion in Teshio is reached from the frozen-lake section of the Chilled Peak Shrine route. Light the bowls beneath its statues with fire arrows; using those arrows requires an upgraded Hankyu.
Separate an incorrect alignment from a puzzle that is not yet ready for rotation. Repeatedly trying the same statue without checking whether it is interactable makes it harder to understand which stage you are actually solving.

Track linked statues as a whole
Later puzzles can rotate another statue when you interact with one. Check the full arrangement after a move, rather than watching only the statue in front of you.
- Make a manual save before the first move when possible.
- Try one move and note which other statue changes.
- Check whether that move disturbed a statue that was already correct.
- Before using a fixed sequence, match both its initial state and its viewing direction.
