What the 61 locations include

The count includes the regional altars and the altar on Mount Yōtei. Our Yōtei Grasslands group also includes that mountain marker. Numbers here identify places for navigation; they are not official game numbers and may differ from other guides.

If the route is not obvious

A marker indicates a destination, not a climbing route or entrance. Check whether the terrain is above a cliff, below it or across water, then compare the linked location source. For the summit, also check the relevant tale’s progression requirements.

Choose a detour that solves your problem

If an unlearned technique is holding you back, look for an altar. If you need more maximum health, consider a hot spring. You do not have to collect every altar before continuing the story. Complete nearby activities and test the techniques you use most often.
